My True Love,

Today, we form a sacred bond through the virtues of love, wisdom and integrity. From these virtues we have crafted a new and wonderful life together. We are humbled by our kindred connection and recognize it as a magnificent miracle.

To create our most excellent lives together we must always seek to stand guard at the door of our own heart, mind and body first then to stand guard with each other. 

To stand guard means to strive to live freely and fully each day.
Standing guard means to enjoy and delight in the other person. 
Standing guard also means to remain vigilant against that wicked voice of evil that attacks our hearts and minds and to learn to trust and obey our inner voice of love.

Standing guard means to live authentic lives of passion, purpose and play as a way to honor the gift of eros. 

Standing guard means to never walk alone but to create and live in a vibrant community of friends and family who help each other to carry the burdens of tragedy and the joy of triumphs.

As we seek to create a new life together we want our thoughts, words and deeds to point ourselves and each other other toward greatness. 

Today we recognize in this ritual of ceremonial love what an incredible privilege it is to be given access into the most secret, intimate places of another person’s heart, mind and soul. May I continually bring the highest reverence, purest intentions and deepest humility to this sacred space between us. 

My sacred commitment to you, first and foremost, is to be loving to myself by standing guard at the door of my heart, mind and body. By doing this I refuse to harm myself but instead show myself compassion, remain perpetually curious and to act courageously when called upon to do so.

I commit to holding myself accountable to my own greatness by living with authenticity in my thoughts, words and actions. I commit to allowing others to help me achieve my own greatness as I help them achieve theirs. 

I commit to cherishing you in my heart when we are together but even more so when we are apart. 

I commit to tending the fire of our relationship with constancy and care.

I commit to you to bring kindness, wisdom and courage every day to my work.

I commit to pursuing an authentic spiritual life where we share deep spiritual intimacy together. I also honor that certain parts of every person’s spiritual journey is private and intended only for the creator and the created. I release you from the responsibility of being my everything.

I commit to you that I will seek out loving men of integrity and wisdom to form a community of TRUE MEN.

May we both allow ourselves to give love and receive love.

May we both seek to have open hearts on this magnificent journey.

May we always seek to do our best to walk in love, seek wisdom and act with integrity.

May we play together.

May we weep together.

May we make love together.

May we cherish each other always.

May we challenge each other.

May we encourage each other to build a strong community outside of our relationship by generously giving each other space and time away from one another.
